The Town Crier, played by Bill Foreman, announces the opening of the News Conference.  Behind him 16 historic personalities watch as present day Adams Countians begin the celebration of the county's 200th birthday.

hseifert.jpg (66138 bytes)Harry Seifert, chairman of the Adams County Bicentennial Committee, explains why we are celebrating the Bicentennial and some of the programs that are being planned. He said "Our county is a family heirloom and it is our job to appreciate it, protect it and pass it on."

cdriscoll.jpg (17265 bytes)Creator of the Adams County Bicentennial Logo is Kristin Driscoll of Bare Hands Studio in Gettysburg, holds a copy of her winning entry in the logo contest.  She explained that the logo is divided into four quadrants that represent the different aspects of the county. The four sections form an outline of the county. The colors are historic hues.
