.Our bicentennial is upon us and it's time to celebrate!

          To echo the words of one of our greatest President, this is a celebration that is truly of the people, by the people, and for the people of Adams County - the people living here now and those who have left their marks, great and small, on our history and, just as important, this is a celebration of all the great things yet to come.

          Therefore, I welcome you, Adams County citizens, to your 200th birthday party; YOU are the guests of honor!

          This year of celebration will come and go. It is up to us to do the things that will make it a celebration that will be long remembered. It's our turn to make a little history, so come with me and celebrate; you rightly deserve to do so!

Mission Statement of the Bicentennial Committee
To be responsible for developing and coordinating commemorative activities of the establishment of the County January 22, 1800. Programs and activities sponsored by the Committee through its subcommittees and community organizations will be designed to connect with diverse audiences.
