“Advanced Co-ed 4 on 4 Volleyball”

Fall Session

Join in all the fun and excitement of volleyball. The Gettysburg Recreation Department in association with the Gettysburg Volleyball Club is holding an Advanced Co-ed  4 on 4 Volleyball Program - Fall Session. This is a 14 week program. The session runs on Thursday evenings beginning September 14, 2006 through December 21, 2006 at the Gettysburg Middle School gym, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Join the fun and put together a 4 person team of your friends, family or co-workers. League play is from 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. and pickup games from 9:00 pm – 10:00 pm.  There is a registration fee. New York City:  Day on your Own

            Enjoy New York City at Christmas Time! See a Broadway show, do your Christmas shopping in some of the most famous stores in the country, visit Ground Zero, enjoy NYC decked out for the Holiday season! You have the opportunity to go where you want, do and see what you want in the Big Apple. The Bus Departs from the Gettysburg Area Recreation Department at 6:30 a.m. takes a fast food stop in route and arrives in NYC at approximately 11:00 a.m. Depart from Time Square at 6:30 p.m. Trip includes motor coach transportation, map of NYC and coupon book. Cost per person $55.00.

Motor Coach Trips through the Gettysburg Area Recreation Department

            All motor coaches are equipped with restroom facilities. In consideration of others, smoking and alcoholic beverages are not permitted. The gratuity for the bus driver is not included in the trip price. Please register early!!!! We must reach a minimum of participants at least one month prior to departure or we regretfully must cancel any trip that does not meet the minimum. The only circumstance for which refunds can be given is in the event that the Gettysburg Recreation Department cancels the trip, in which case you will receive a full refund.

Gettysburg Senior High School Indoor Walking Track

Monday and Wednesday evenings from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m.
October 16 through December 20 and January 8 through April 11
Free to all residents of the Gettysburg Area School District.  $5.00 one time fee for non-residents.  Contact the Gettysburg Recreation Department at 33402028 for more information.

Park and Recreation Program Participation Guidelines

Three Prices? - When multiple fees are listed the following fee schedule applies:  Residents of the Borough of Gettysburg receive a discount on programs and pay the first fee listed; Cumberland, Mt. Joy, Freedom and Franklin Township residents pay the second fee listed; and residents of all other areas pay the third fee listed.

Register - Register early!  If a program does not have a sufficient number of participants registered by 2 working days prior to the start of the program, the program may be canceled.  Stop by the Gettysburg Recreation Park office or mail a check payable to the Borough of Gettysburg—Recreation Park to 59 E. High St. Gettysburg, PA  17325.  Pay by cash, check, money order or Visa, MasterCard or Discover.

Returned Check Policy – Any checks returned for insufficient funds will acquire an additional assessment of $25 for each check.

Refund Policy - NO REFUNDS ARE GIVEN. Program fees must be paid before participating in any program.  However, if a program is cancelled due to lack of sufficient registration, refunds will be issued

NO NEWS IS GOOD NEWS!- Once you have registered for a program, you will not hear from our office unless:

There is a change in the time or day

The activity is full

The class has been cancelled

You have provided us with a  self-addressed, stamped envelope. So mark your calendar and plan to attend!

Injury - Participation in programs and leagues is at your own risk.  We advise participants to carry their own accident/liability insurance when participating in Gettysburg Area Recreation Department activities.
