June 20 - Held in conjunction with the Greater Gettysburg Brass Band Festival,
the Regimental Band of the 8th Georgia Volunteer Infantry from Rome,
Georgia, will present a concert of Civil War period band music at the National
Park Service Museum and Visitor Center at 11:00 AM. The Wildcat Regimental Band
will follow with their concert at 3:00 PM, also at the Museum and Visitor
Center. These concerts are free of charge.

Each day will include two exciting battles, field demonstrations,
live mortar fire demonstrations, two activities tents with continuous living
history programs, and a living history village with all-day activities. Visitors
are invited to shop in the very impressive "Sutler Row" where they will discover
period-style clothing and wares or walk through the military camps to experience

authors and historians, held to commemorate the 146th anniversary of the Battle

July 4 - Confederates Take The Shriver House This living history
presentation provides visitors an opportunity to speak with Confederates as they
prepare for battle and watch the sharpshooters as they occupy the attic while
they fire their muskets at the enemy on Cemetery Hill. Visitors also saw where
live Civil War cartridges were discovered during the restoration of the
Shriver's home 134 years after the fighting ended. At the conclusion of the
tour, visitors shared in a root beer with the soldiers in Shriver’s Saloon. This
is the only reenactment to take place in the streets of Gettysburg. The Only In

An annual observation of President Abraham Lincoln's "Gettysburg Address"
with memorial services and ceremonies in the Soldiers` National Cemetery,
sponsored by the National Park Service, the Lincoln Fellowship of Pennsylvania
and the Lincoln Forum Symposium at Gettysburg College. The observation begins
with a wreath laying ceremony at 10:15 AM followed by the service beginning at
10:30 AM sharp. The service is held at the brick rostrum in the cemetery and is
free of charge.
