It's the U.S. Colored Troops for the first time at a reenactment in Gettysburg.  They represented the 29th Reg. from Chicago, IL, the 102nd Reg. from MI and the 5th Reg. from Ohio.

Live mortar demonstrations were presented during the event.

Civil War reenactors from across the country brought history to life during the three-day event.

In today's world he is an accountant.   Leland White III of the 29th Reg has been reenacting for 5 years.  He enjoys the fun and companionship of reenacting but also has great respect for the soldiers of the Civil War.

Dr. Lawrence Schiller has also been reenacting for 5 years.  Besides teaching in the North Western University History Department, he is also the fencing coach.
