Old and new feminine friends get together for a picture to
remember this reenactment. Like the soldiers, they are volunteers who devote
their spare time and disposable income to bring the
Jessica Rasain (left) and Mandy Harrison (right) both of Howard County, Maryland. Jessica's father serves in the Federal Cavalry. Many of the reenactors bring their families. The whole family can enjoy the hobby while spending time together.
Kristen Weir of New Holland, PA portrays a women in mourning for a lost loved one. She explained that Civil War women mourned for 3 years. The first year all they wore was black, the second year they wore only gray and the third year only purple.
Lynn Green poses proudly with her horse Dixie Southern Bell. They are from Wakeman, OH and are with the 6th Ohio Cavalry.
Civil War actors using cell phones? Terren Smith of Big Pine, PA was one of many that were sighted.
