OLD AND NEW HISTORIC ATMOSPHERE: The oldest building in Gettysburg (built 1776) has been restored and filled with period antiques. In the mid-1800's a secret crawl space in the house served as a station for hiding slaves on their perilous journey to freedom on the Underground Railroad. This area has been preserved and made available for viewing for groups at no charge. the Dobbin House has seating for a total of 350 guests which includes the first floor Abigail Adams Ballroom with seating for 150 guests. We are air conditioned in the summer and heated by thirteen crackling fireplaces in winter.

 CONVENIENT LOCATION: We are located on the south end of Gettysburg, just one block from the National Park Service Visitors Center. We overlook the site where President Lincoln delivered his famous Gettysburg Address.
