Sat 25 9:00am to 3:00pm Antique Appraisal Day Adams County Historical Society
4th Annual Antique Appraisal Day
An entertaining and educational day of antique valuations.
Ever wonder what your family heirlooms, attic treasures, childhood keepsakes, cherished collectibles, mysterious yard sale finds, and inherited antiques are really worth?  Then bring your decorative items to Adams County Historical Society's first annual antique appraisal day and let professional appraisers help determine whether you're holding onto trash or a real treasure!  The Gettysburg Fire Hall, 35 North Stratton Street, Gettysburg, PA 717-334-4723.

The Antique Appraisal Day will be open to the public Saturday, September 25, 2010 from 9:00am to 3:00pm at the Gettysburg Fire Hall, 35 North Stratton Street, Gettysburg, PA. Tickets are available in advance with a donation of $10 for the first item and $5 for each additional item.  Our team of experts in the Antiques and Collectibles field will provide an open format method of verbal appraisals in an educational and fun way for people to learn about a wide range of antiques and an estimation of the value of objects.

So join the fun and start rifling through those attics and closets gathering your dishes, jewelry, artwork, dolls, coins, clocks, folk art, fine art, furniture, military pieces, quilts, paper items, photographs, toys, vintage clothing, and general antiques.  Bring them to the Antique Appraisal Day and who knows, you may find you have a masterwork that is worth a fortune.

Tickets are available in advance. All proceeds benefit the Adams County Historical Society.   For more information, visit the Society web site at www.achs-pa.org or call 717-334-4723.

The Adams County Historical Society's mission is to identify and tell the stories of the people, organizations, businesses, and events that have shaped Adams County, Pennsylvania.  The Society, an archive and museum preserving the county's rich cultural heritage, receives the majority of its income from unrestricted cash donations from its programs and events.
