Private tours for groups of ten or more are welcome anytime throughout the holiday season; reservations are required.

After hanging stockings on the mantle, the girls set out milk and cookies in anticipation of a visit from Santa Claus on that magical night. While soldiers faced the perils of the Civil War, Christmas offered a few moments of cheer that would help brighten the lives of those at home. Learn how families celebrated the holidays while fathers, sons, and husbands were separated from loved ones during this tragic time in American history.

Sergeant Mac Foundation

Wreath Laying

The Sergeant Mac Foundation will be placing 500 Christmas wreaths on graves in the Soldiers' National Cemetery within Gettysburg National Military Park for the holidays.  The wreaths will be placed on the graves on December 4 by local veterans and volunteers.  They will remain in place until January. The local coordinator for this event is Stan Clark 717-337-1728.

Eric McColley, who was killed along with seven fellow Marines and two Airmen off the coast of , Africa on February 17, 2006. Eric, like so many other servicemen and women gave his life doing what he loved, serving his country.
